Go beyond interview questions

So you’re prepping for an interview based video. Now you’ve got your list of interview questions, which is helpful. But what’s even more helpful?

Outcomes are better than interview questions

Instead of preparing interview questions, try articulating and writing down the outcomes and key messages that you’re after instead. I find that when we rely too much on a list of questions, we have a tendency just to ask the question, get an answer, tick it off, move on, and not really take in or assess the quality of the content we’re getting.

And that’s why outcomes work, because they’re a great reminder of what you need and if you’re not getting them, it just prompts you to ask more questions until you do.
